How the Cadence rotation helper works

Your gaming PC runs the game and a lightweight agent. The controller that makes the decisions runs on a second PC, or on your iOS device.

1

Get your personal key

Beta testers receive a personal key. Join the beta to get yours, and grab the controller and the gaming-PC agent from the Download page.

2

Choose your controller

On iOS: install the Cadence app. It runs the same decision engine and interface as the desktop controller, so you don't need a second computer or a virtual machine.

On a second PC: run the Cadence controller, a self-contained Windows app. The only other requirement is the Microsoft Edge WebView2 runtime most PCs already have.

3

Install the agent on your gaming PC

Unzip the agent, give the executable any name you like and run it. Select your game folder once and it installs the Cadence addon for you.

4

Pair and set up your character

Find your gaming PC under Connections in the controller. In game, type /cadence setup and Cadence creates the bindings and macros it needs.

5

Play

Resume the rotation from the controller and play. Pause from the controller or the in-game overlay, and press F12 on the gaming PC to stop input instantly. On iOS, every connection starts paused, and locking the device stops input.

Requirements

  • A 64-bit Windows 10 or 11 gaming PC with WoW Forever installed
  • For the controller, an iOS device or a second Windows PC on the same network
  • A Cadence beta invite
